Here’s where you’ll make a difference…
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in our continued transformation journey by:
- Developing DevOps solutions using the latest available technologies (Cloud/K8)
- You’ll contribute to our Multi-Cloud strategy through a diverse deployment model
- Enhance delivery through automation and manual work reduction and adopting SRE Principles
- You’ll help to ensure that software is built in a way which is consistent with – and exploits where possible – our collective frameworks, patterns as well as industry innovations that exist across the wider Engineering community.

What we need from you…
Our Lab consists of many and varied systems, platforms, and technology stacks. We therefore need a DevOps Engineer with broad capabilities and experience, including:
- Extensive experience within a modern software engineering team designing and building the code management and software delivery automation pipelines (DevOps) using a spread of technologies, particularly Linux, Maven, Jenkins, Github and Urban Code Deploy. This should include experience of integrating solutions built by other teams and/or 3rd party suppliers.
- Strong knowledge on DevSecOps
- Strong Engineering background and deep knowledge of agile development practices, TDD/BDD, automated builds, continuous integration, code quality metrics etc.
- Very comfortable with Jenkins and Scripting
- Exposure to an API Gateway product beneficial such as Apigee or similar
- Experience across the entire SDLC from inception, through build to production
- Strong working knowledge of containerisation – e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of public cloud and cloud-native development in AWS/Azure/GCP
- Agile working methods – sprint delivery, continuous integration, continuous delivery.
