Permanent Mechanical Engineer required for a globally recognized manufacturer who is market leading within their niche industry. They are a brand associated with quality and offer varied roles within a great team environment.

The role will suit Mechanical Engineers with experience working in high-volume sheet metal fabrication processes including machinery and robotics. Candidates with knowledge of PLCs will be considered highly advantageous and are encouraged to apply.

Reporting to the head of engineering, you will ensure the existing processes maintain their world-class status measured against process capability indices. Working autonomously, you will bring your own manufacturing process which will be implemented strictly in line with the manufacturing strategy and company procedures. As one of the mechanical engineers on site, you will undertake a lead role in new product introduction projects using standardized lean principles.

Mechanical Engineer Role:

*Implementation of LEAN techniques

*Improve and maintain existing fabrication processes

*Undertake a lead role in new product introduction projects

*Identify, facilitate, support and encourage continuous improvement activities within manufacturing

The Candidate:

*Will hold a mechanical or electrical qualification, HNC/HND/Degree

*Knowledge of PLCs will be highly advantageous

*Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes in bespoke machinery or robotics

*Experience implementing lean manufacturing
