Holden Jones is partnering with a dynamic listed US pharmaceutical business to recruit a Finance Director for its UK entities with a broad-ranging remit covering all financial management, Banking, insurances, and compliance. The principal responsibilities will be:

  • Manage all statutory financial reporting under UK and US GAAP for the UK and Irish entities
  • Ensuring the integrity of accounting processes through effective financial controls
  • Financial planning and analysis, business support, management reporting as well as other finance operations.
  • Providing financial leadership and aligning business and finance strategies to achieve growth plans and manage costs
  • Implements the group’s M&A strategy on a regional level, delivering successful post-merger integration activities
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, communicating risk to Group finance
  • Drive business improvement initiatives for improved cost reduction, procurement, pricing and process improvements to add value to the organisation.
  • Lead relationships with banks, insurance brokers, tax advisors and auditors.
  • Line management responsibility for Business Operations, Commercial Management and facilities
  • Accountable for ensuring the compliance of the UK office with applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Building a high performing and motivated team including investing time into talent development
  • Business Partnering the Senior Leadership Team.

Suitable applicants will be fully qualified accountants with proficiency in UK and US GAAP reporting and experience in financial management and accounting. You will have strategic and commercial acumen, as well as the ability and willingness to be hands-on and exceptional ability to assimilate and present financial information. Excellent people skills are essential, collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, dynamic team and providing effective leadership. Ideally, you will have previous exposure to a broad remit that may have included other business areas such as possibly IT, legal, compliance, commercial administration etc. Being technologically receptive, ideally with experience of overseeing ERP implementation being highly advantageous with an advanced level knowledge of Excel.
