Along with our partners we are delighted to have been selected by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver the Restart employability programme in 2 Contract Packages in West Central (Black Country, Coventry, Greater Birmingham and Solihull, The Marches and Worcestershire) and across all of Wales.

As part of our Restart programme we will support participants on their journey to finding sustainable employment, enabling them to progress towards a more secure future. The Restart programme will help people who have been unemployed for between 12 and 18 months get back into work, including those whose prospects for securing employment have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to cover the Wales region who will lead, motivate and develop the team to meet the requirements of the programme and to continuously improve the service we provide. You will be responsible for managing the delivery site as well as remote management for those operating more remotely.  You’ll manage a team Job Coaches & Employer Engagement Coordinators, who will be supporting individuals who have been in long-term unemployment and supporting them to achieve sustainable employment.  You’ll be directly responsible for the effective performance management of Serco’s self-delivery, this  will include ensuring that all actions are taken to deliver the required KPIs and Customer Service Standards.

What you’ll need to do the role:

If you are already an experienced Operations Manager with demonstrable success in the management of teams across multiple sites within the Employability or Skills sector then we want to hear from you.  You will also have experience of carrying out effective performance and development reviews, overseeing financial resources, driving continuous improvement and managing external relationships within employabilty programmes. We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience of using management information to drive Continuous Improvement and further analysing the management information and working with reporting systems
