Businessman Raj Kundra, who has been arrested in the porn videos case, was allegedly working closely with UK resident Pradeep Bakshi’s firm. Police have also seized evidence regarding a WhatsApp group created by Raj Kundra that was specifically regarding payments for a movie.
Bakshi is a relative of Raj Kundra, who has been sent to police custody till July 23.
Kenrin Production House was incorporated on March 23, 2005, with its registered office located in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey. Pradeep Bakshi was appointed director of the firm on November 1, 2008.
The company has less than 10 employees and under £2 million turnover. It is involved in video production activities and television programming.
Raj Kundra, according to sources, is indirectly a business partner and investor of this company.
During investigation, it was found that actress Gehana Vasisth and Umesh Kamat were involved in producing porn films for Kenrin Production House.
After the shoot, the videos were sent through an application to Kenrin Production House in the UK to avoid law enforcement agencies in India. After editing, sources said, the porn films were uploaded on an application named “Hotshot”.
Police have also seized evidence regarding a WhatsApp group created by Raj Kundra that was specifically regarding payments for a movie. The group by the name of “H AACCOUNTS” had Raj Kundra as admin with four others as its members.
Along with Kundra, Pradeep Bakshi, Megha Viaan ‘accounts’, Rob Digital Marketing HotShots and Raw Evans, content head of HotShots, were part of this WhatsApp group.
Raj Kundra, in the alleged WhatsApp chats, talked about marketing strategy, increasing sales, payment of models and other deals.
In one of the chats, Pradeep Bakshi writes, “Just send me a PSD file and I will resize them as per our digital assets.”
Another message dated October 20 reads, “Yesterday total sale – Rs 2,69,914, Live revenue – Rs 2,23,375. Total registration- 19,39,699, Yesterday registration – 5,095.” Raj Kundra replied to this saying, “Movie revenue has really dropped.”
In another conversation, a complaint was raised by one of the members regarding the non-payment of money to one of the female artists.
After getting advance payments, according to investigators, Gehana Vasisth and Umesh Kamat used to get on with their job of making pornographic films and sent the content through email id to Kenrin Production House.
Soon after they sent the link, money was transferred to their accounts respectively. These porn films were then uploaded on the social media app HotShots.
