The Opportunity
Modern and expanding independent firm where the Directors are committed to offering you an incredible work life balance alongside variety, autonomy and a broad portfolio of great clients to work with! You’ll ideally be AAT qualified and you need to have a track record of success within an accountancy practice (as semi senior / senior). You’ll ideally already have experience of accounts preparation (for ltd companies, sole trader and partnerships) plus knowledge of corp and personal tax requirements.
You’ll have plenty of autonomy and client ownership – working with a diverse range of businesses across a host of different sectors. You’ll be producing accounts for partner level review and working with business owners to discuss trends, performance, costs and tax / business efficiencies. It’s a great place to work – a down to earth but professional firm with high aspirations but a sensible working culture. There is no expectation of crazy hours, no micro-management – – just a welcoming and relaxed culture and partners who hugely value the people that help them deliver top class service. You will be working in a collaborative small team (8 people) and have plenty of flexibility (hybrid working model with 2 days at home and 3 in the office).
The firm have invested in modern technology and software – it will certainly be a refreshing environment if you are coming from a more traditional firm of accountants who have been reluctant to invest in software or automation. If you are an AAT qualified accountant who loves the variety of a practice environment but looking for better work life balance, supportive managers and just a great place to work we would welcome the chance to speak.
You need:
- Previous experience within a firm of accountants.
- Confidence when working with clients directly.
- Good IT literacy (use of Sage, Quickbooks or Xero).
- A proactive approach to managing your own time and workload.
