The Indian cricket team has kicked off its English summer 2021. While the Indian men’s cricket team, led by Virat Kohli, is set to play New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship final (WTC) on June 18, in Southampton, they will remain in England till August-September as they also play Joe Root-led England in five Tests in the lengthy and gruelling tour.
Moreover, the Mithali Raj-led Indian eves are also set to play England in a one-off Test, in Bristol from June 16-19, followed by three ODIs and as many T20Is, where Harmanpreet Kaur will take charge of the side. Hence, both the senior men’s and women’s cricket team is set to commence their summer in English conditions and arrived in the United Kingdom recently.
