We are looking for experienced CNC Machine Operators to join our growing Production Team. Our CNC Machine Operators will set and operate, Milling and Grinding machines, producing our innovative, precision parts, to an advanced specification and high-quality standard.
What you’ll be doing as our CNC Machine Operator:
- Produce precision parts on both CNC Milling Machines and Surface Grinders.
- Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications to set up a wide range of milling and grinding operations on both repeat and new components.
- Setting up the CNC machines by, loading material stock and inserting cutting tools into tool holders, ensuring the accuracy of tool assembly by inspecting fit and runout.
- Clean and maintain machining centres including disposal of waste material.
- Champion continuous improvement and provide feedback to internal departments on the machining process.
- Process jobs as scheduled on the internal database as well as enter operational data regarding milling and job progression.
- Action Quality Issues and support all Non-Conformance meetings
- Support product and process optimisation in line with the quality needs of the business
- Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our CNC Machine Operator:
- Proven background in machining high specification, precision engineered parts.
- Identify and utilise best practice methods for work holding, tight tolerance machining and tooling.
- Fully experienced with the machining of both standard and more exotic raw materials.
- Able to work to tight timelines and multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Fully competent with all types of inspection equipment, to verify component quality.
- Experience in operating in a 5S environment.
- Able to work to high safety and quality standard, with a variety of equipment and materials.
- The ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Need to have:
- 3+ years of CNC Machining experience
- Have experience with both Fanuc / Siemens controls.
Nice to have:
- HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- CNC Programming experience
- Process improvement experience

Hours:
Monday – Friday, 6am – 2pm, 2pm -10pm
Salary:
£31,050 including Shift allowance and annualised hour
