Dushyant Chautala meets UK deputy high commissioner, discusses state’s upcoming projects

Haryana deputy chief minister, Dushyant Chautala held a meeting with British deputy high commissioner, Caroline Rowett at his office in Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh on Friday. The discussion focussed on various prospects for strengthening the Indo-UK relationship and Haryana as the development model in the emerging sectors.

British deputy high commissioner, Caroline Rowett enquired about the Haryana Aerospace and Defence Policy and e-Vehicle Policy regarding which the deputy chief minister shared that the state has a futuristic approach for growth and development and is working on drafting the Aerospace and Defence Policy of Haryana, e-Vehicle Policy and other such policies.

He said that our aim is to ensure inclusive development, for which we are accelerating the progress in the rural areas at par with the urban areas of Haryana. He added that the drafted policies have exciting prospects that cater to land and infrastructure subsidy benefit, pre- and post-commencement approvals, power, property, tax, and other fiscal benefits.

Our government is committed to make Haryana an investment destination for industries for which the government is making strenuous efforts towards materialising it. Through PPP, many projects like Flying Training School are on the cards. He added we are already one of the leading manufacturers of the automobile sector now and with these progressive policies, we will be leaders in the other sectors as well.

Caroline Rowett assured extensive support for the upcoming projects of the state, especially in the e-Vehicle Policy, for which many inputs will be shared before the final drafted policy. She said that the futuristic approach of the Haryana government was very impressive and appreciated the drafted policies.
