Embedded Software Engineer – Edinburgh, Midlothian
Syntech Recruitment is thrilled to present an excellent permanent job opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in C++ and Python. We are actively seeking professionals with a strong background in C++ Embedded Software development, particularly in defining interfaces and implementation. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum. Contract opportunities are also available paying c£300-350 per day
Responsibilities:
- Develop code for automated components at our UK development center.
- Define interfaces and implementation, ensuring effective communication at a technical level.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to juniors when needed.
Requirements:
- BSc degree or equivalent in Hardware/Software/Embedded Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in C++ application development is crucial.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Yocto, C, C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with protocols such as OpenADR, MQTT, and TCP-IP.
- Experience with radio technologies like Zigbee, Cat-M/NB-IoT, and Wi-Fi.
- Proficient in CI/CD tools like GitLab.
- Understanding of digital electronics is advantageous.
