IT Service Manager – London, South East England
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Service Manager to join their team on a contract basis. As an IT Service Manager, your primary focus will be to improve the efficiency of the helpdesk by automating processes and implementing some ITIL/Agile principles. Your expertise in automation, Agile processes, ITIL, JIRA, and processing will play a vital role in enhancing the organization’s IT service delivery.
Some of the key areas for improvement include:
- Implementation of a remote desktop tool to enhance efficiency in providing support.
- Streamlining and automating the onboarding and offboarding processes for staff members.
- Developing and implementing efficient documentation practices.
- Driving automation initiatives to improve overall IT service management.
- Your technical background and expertise in automation and Agile processes will enable you to identify and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and streamline IT operations.
This opportunity requires the IT Service Manager to go onsite 2/3 days per week near London Bridge.
IT Service Manager requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Service Manager with a strong technical background
- Solid knowledge of ITIL framework or similar (including service management)
- Experience with JIRA for efficient issue tracking and project management
- Proficiency in process automation and driving continuous improvement
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in IT service management
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Inside IR35
